SIFE students are changing the world by making a difference in their local communities. They create new futures for themselves and for others through entrepreneurial educational outreach projects.
SIFE challenges students to take what they learn in the classroom and apply their knowledge in real working situations for the benefit of all concerned.
SIFE challenges business and industry to become involved in a partnership, to mentor students and judge their projects at National Championships.
SIFE is more than just another organisation to support; it's a partnership opportunity. As a partner, you join a network of the world's leading companies and universities, brought together in support of a shared cause.
Together, we unleash the potential that exists within every aspiring entrepreneur and business leader to make a meaningful contribution towards creating a better world. With your support we are securing a future led by ethical business leaders with a broad worldview and a commitment to helping others while also enhancing your business experience and helping your company achieve its objectives.
SIFE is making a difference. It's a cause you can believe in personally and one your company will benefit from supporting and helping people to participate more fully in a global market economy.
Leadership is what is turning the Australian and global economies around. But the leadership needed goes beyond that of individuals, whether presidents, prime ministers, or chief executives of global corporations. A global turnaround needs collective leadership, by people who want to make a difference.
Benefits to business from partnering with SIFE include:
SIFE partners have direct access to recruit SIFE students through both the Careers Workshops at the National Conference and Championships and the networking session with students and partners at the conclusion of the Championship Round, and through linking your website and career opportunities to the SIFE Australia website.
There is great potential for mutual benefit of your rising talent participating in the activities of selected SIFE teams through their Business Advisory Boards (BABs). This allows for direct interaction with SIFE students throughout the year at particular universities. The BAB is an excellent opportunity for both developing the network and expanding the strategic horizon of key emerging talent in your organisation. Our feedback is that our existing partners consider this to be one of the key benefits of the partnership with SIFE.
One of the unique programs SIFE will be offering in the various States in Australia is for groups of 5 or 6 executives from our partner companies to meet directly with students from each State’s SIFE teams to discuss issues such as:
Plus of course, any other issues of interest to current organisational leaders and upcoming leaders.
Students benefit from the experience and advice from our current organisational leaders, while the leaders benefit from an open from accessing the thinking of many of today’s brightest young people.
Another opportunity for engagement with students and other partners is at the SIFE Australia National Competition held in July each year.
The format for the 3 days is as follows:
Staff is welcome to participate in both the Opening and Semi Final judging round providing an excellent networking opportunity with representatives from our other partners. The final Championship round is judged by the CEO or (designated senior executives) of each of our partners, staying for an Awards Ceremony and Reception at which your support would be recognised.
Each of our participating universities (over 24 in all), conducts upwards of 5 community projects throughout metropolitan and regional Australia.
By partnering with SIFE and offering financial and in-kind support you are directly contributing to bettering the lives of people by giving them a hand-up not a hand-out. You have the satisfaction of supporting communities and programs that are wide ranging in their focus and impact. These are projects not conducted by one charity group, nor by any government or social welfare agencies. They provide less advantaged people with a “hand up, not a hand out”.
