Enterprises improve through benchmarking and best practice comparison. SIFE Australia provides an opportunity for SIFE teams to do this at a three day, annual National Conference and Championships. There is no registration fee and main meals are provided. Teams receive cash subsidies for travel and accommodation if certain conditions of entry are met. The National Conference and Championships is an opportunity to showcase your talents and accomplishments and meet students and business people from across Australia.
The National Conference & Championships comprise the following elements:
Financial Literacy Seminar
Student Career Development Seminar
Faculty Advisors’ Best Practice Seminar
Individual Topic & Special Competitions
Regional, Semi Final & Championship Presentations
Opening, Closing & Awards Ceremonies & Receptions
as well as an exciting atmosphere in an appropriate hospitality and conference venue.
As enterprise is based on competition, so SIFE Australia encourages SIFE teams to participate in the National Championships. Each team presents a report on the projects they conducted for the current year. Teams do this by means of a written Annual Report, accompanied by an oral and audio/visual presentation, made to a panel of judges comprised of a diverse group of business executives and entrepreneurs. The judges score each team according to the Judging Criteria developed by SIFE World Headquarters. Winning teams are awarded trophies and cash prizes. The National Champion team also wins the right to represent Australia at the SIFE World Cup.
This handbook is to be read in conjunction with the Global Handbook & Training Manual 2007 - 2008. It is intended as a supplementary resource covering matters specific to Australia and in particular for the 2008 SIFE Australia National Conference & Championships 10-12 July.
