Competition guidelines

Full information about the national championship competition is available in the SIFE Team Handbook section on Preparing for Competition.

Teams should familiarise themselves with the judging requirements for the competition via the SIFE Judge Orientation Video.

Registration

Individuals will need to register online with registrations opening on 1st March and closing on 17th June. Participants should make themselves familiar with the SIFE Code of Conduct in the SIFE Team Handbook.

Mandatory reports

Each team must submit the following reports before competing:
Annual Report
Project Verification Form
Team Data Sheet
Active Team Sheet

Annual Reports

Annual reports are to be 4 sides of A4 paper (two sides of A3) should include:

  • SIFE team logo
  • Team mission or vision statement
  • For each project:
    • Project title
    • Description: facts, objectives, challenges
    • Economic, social and environmental factors
    • Target audience
    • Business & economic concepts/entrepreneurial approach utilised
    • Project outcomes
    • Project summaries
  • Key team statistics
  • Financial summary
  • Media coverage
  • Sponsor logos – these are not the logos of SIFE Australia Partners

A number of annual report templates are available for download and examples of the Project Verification Form, Team Data Sheet and Active Team Sheet are available in the SIFE Team Handbook.

Presentations

Each competing team has a 37minute time block for its live presentation. The time is segmented as follows:

  • 7 minutes Set-up period during which Annual Reports are distributed to judges
  • 24 minutes Presentation
  • 5 minutes Judges’ question time
  • 1 minute Exit period
