Criterion 2 - Best Competitive Skills Training project
Criterion 3 - Best Entrepreneurial Success project

The ITCs for Criteria 1-4 will be conducted in two stages:

Each Individual Topic Competition will be conducted as a business interview experience.
- a maximum of four entries will be short-listed for judging
- short-listed teams may be represented by only two team members
[it is strongly recommended that students other than members of the main presentation team are assigned to the ITCs, to avoid a clash with the Semi Final Round] - judging panels will comprise three business executives
- there will be 5 minutes of presentation and up to 10 minutes of discussion per entry
Limitation on entries & submission deadline
Teams may enter as many Individual Topic Competitions as they wish but are limited to one entry in each ITC. Teams may enter any one project in any one Individual Topic Competition only. Submissions must be sent in soft copy by email to sife@sifeaustralia.org.au by 17:00 on Monday 29 June. A confirmation of receipt will be sent.
Submissions are limited to 500 words or two A4 pages in length but may be supplemented by a further two A4 pages of testimonials, financial statements, etc. The main body of the submissions should be in Executive Summary style, i.e. it should be ‘fact dense' and set out in dot point format.
Submissions should include the following in a document ‘header', repeated on each/all pages:
- SIFE Team name & University name (if different)
- Special/Individual Topic Competition Title
Submissions should provide relevant factual and quantified information under the following headings, placing approximately equal emphasis on the material provided under each heading:
- Project Goals and Objectives - what were set and what were achieved?
- Project Overview - description of scope, methodology, execution.
- Learning Content & Skills Development - materials used, scope, content, etc.
- Target Audience - how defined and how reached?
- Project Impact - audience numbers reached, outcomes achieved & how measured.
- Project Continuity and Sustainability - new or continuing, one-off or repeatable?
Short Listing & Business Interviews
- The paper-based submissions for each ITC will be independently ranked by a three-member judging panel to short list four finalist teams.
- The four finalist teams will participate in a business interview format judging set in a boardroom, with audience seating.
- Two students may represent the team before a panel of three judges.
- The students are expected to speak to their written submission for up to five minutes, then take questions in an informal discussion for a further five to seven minutes.
No a-v presentation is permitted but illustrative materials, samples or photographs may be tabled but must be removed at the conclusion.
Criterion 7 Assessment
Criterion 7 will be a paper assessment based on all teams' written reports as handed in at Registration. If a team has prepared a separate two page submission, that may be included.
