I am pleased to announce some exciting changes within our International Department.

As you all know, since 2001, we have been aggressively building SIFE's global reach to where it is today. Forty-four (44) countries have been launched on 856 university campuses with almost 20,000 registered active students this year; a significant achievement in growth in only eight years. As our new strategic plan is being finalized we see a significant need and opportunity in securing much more financial support from outside the USA, so to take advantage of this opportunity and to strengthen the international department we will make the following changes.

Effective Monday, September 1st, Sylvester John will assume the role of Senior Vice President, International and manage the International Department. Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Program Managers and other department staff will report to him. Sylvester's field experience as a regional vice president for Africa beginning in 2001 and his most recent position as head of International operations have prepared him to help take SIFE to the next level worldwide.

Bruce Nasby, our Executive Vice President, International, an eleven year SIFE employee and someone with over 30 years of fund raising experience and who has lead much of this expansion during this past decade will focus on what he does best, that being fund raising and representing SIFE at key International meetings and events. His emphasis will be on fund raising opportunities outside the US as well as SIFE World Cup site selection and sponsorship packaging from the host SWC venue. Bruce has helped to secure some of SIFE's largest contributions in the past and this new focus will help SIFE to secure the contributions necessary to provide the financial resources necessary for our future growth and vision. Dena, Christa and the HSBC staff will continue to report to him.

Both Sylvester and Bruce will be direct reports to me. Please join me in congratulating them both on their new challenges and opportunities.
