SIFE Activities

SIFE Projects

SIFE teams design, develop, deliver and document community projects that utilise business and entrepreneurial skills to improve the quality of life and standard of living of identified groups in need.

Training Sessions

SIFE students are encouraged to take part in training sessions which are conducted once or twice a year. These sessions provide students with development opportunities in different areas including: project management, presentation skills, fund raising, team leadership and career development. In addition to the skills development the sessions also provide an opportunity for students to interact with others from businesses and different universities.

SIFE Team Annual Reports

SIFE teams report the outcomes of their projects in their annual reports.

National Conference and Championship

The SIFE Australia National Conference and Championship is conducted in July each year where teams present the results of their projects to a panel of judges who are members of the business community. The judges rate the projects, based on the annual report and team presentation, against the current SIFE criterion:

“Considering the relevant economic, social and environmental factors, which SIFE team most effectively empowered people in need by applying business and economic concepts and an entrepreneurial approach to improve their quality of life and standard of living?”
